Yes! We identify and label every animal and every batch of meat that comes into our USDA inspected facility with a unique order number. That number stays with each product from that order. Each order is processed individually and never mixed with any other order.
All meat that is sold must have been harvested and processed under some type of inspection. Meat that is produced in a USDA inspected facility is eligible for sale anywhere in the United States. Meat that is produced in a Texas state inspected plant is only eligible for sale in Texas. Meat that is produced in a Custom Exempt plant is not eligible for sale. A custom exempt plant is for animals that will be processed and only used by the owner of the animal and their non paying guests.
95% of the domestic meat we produce at Harvest House is USDA inspected and can be sold. On occasion, we will produce meat outside of inspection hours and that meat will be labeled NOT FOR SALE and cannot be sold. Hunter harvested wild game also cannot be sold.
Yes we vacuum package all of the meat from your order except the ground meat, chili meat and some bulk fresh sausages. Ground meat, chili meat, and breakfast sausages are packaged in plastic tubes with clips on each end.
